Ensuring the safety of people near tower.

PREZIOHM TFR 73HF

An innovative product of TAURUS

PREZIOHM TFR 73HF is an innovative product of TAURUS designed to measure impedance along with resistance, impedance and Inductance of transmission line tower footing without disconnecting the overhead earth wire. Automatic compensation of Soil resistivity is provided.

The tower Earthing has important role in

  • Reducing the number of faults in power system.
  • Dealing with effects of proximity between power system and railway or telecommunication systems
  • Ensuring the safety of people near tower.
  • Minimize the losses due to lightning
tfr73
  • Measures impedance of the transmission line tower footing and gives the measured individual values of resistance and inductance using patented technology, without isolating the earth wire.
  • Automatic suppression of all noise and leakage currents.
  • Metallic shielding to suppress EMI interference and EMC compliance.
  • Designed to operate in a highly induced environment and to give highly stable, reliable, repeatable readings with its strong capability of noise & leakage current/voltage suppression.
  • Operates in all geographical and environmental conditions
  • Time tested to withstand long hours of use and large number of continuous tests.
  • Simple user interface and instant tests to save time.
  • High capacity battery for long and continuous operation.
  • Principle of operation : Fall of potential (3-point method) with high frequency and soil resistivity compensation
  • PC Interface
  • Memory: automatic storing of 2000 results
  • Operating and storage temperature: -10º to + 50ºC
  • IP 67 pelican casing
  • Li-Ion rechargeable maintenance free battery for long and continuous operation.
  • LED display with high resolution
  • Measurement Accuracy : +/- 2%
  • Short circuit current : 20mA
  • Frequency : 25 kHz as per IEEE 81-1983
  • Voltage output : 250V
  • Range : 0.01Ω to 2 k-Ω

Validations

FOP

The guide IEEE 81-1983 in their numeral 12.6 suggests that the transmission lines tower footing measurement should be implemented with a high frequency ground resistance meter, which operates at 25 KHz.
